Campaign Project Internship

Primary Responsibilities
Interns may assist Campaign Managers with the following tasks:

  • Community assessment and strategy

  • Voter outreach

  • Write, edit and proofread direct mail, press releases, talking points and fact sheets

  • Build coalitions in support of campaign objectives

  • Voter ID and phone programs

  • Attend client and regulatory meetings and draft reports

Qualifications
Juniors or Seniors preferred

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, research and interpersonal skills

  • Writing and editing skills

  • Detail-oriented and a strong work ethic

  • Previous campaign experience a plus


Digital Internship

Primary Responsibilities
Interns may assist the digital team with the following tasks:

  • Social media monitoring

  • Content creation

  • Analytics reporting

  • Target audience research

  • Digital strategy

  • Attend client and regulatory meetings and draft reports

  • Identify and work with traditional media and online influencers

  • Write, edit and proofread social posts and advertising

Qualifications
Juniors or Seniors preferred

  • Strong critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Detail-oriented and strong work ethic

  • Proficiency or willingness to learn the following digital tools:

    • Photoshop/InDesign/Premier/Illustrator

    • Facebook Business Manager

    • Google Ads

  • Experience or willingness to learn audience management softwares:

    • NationBuilder

    • VoterVoice

    • NGP VAN, etc.

Location: Calvert Street’s Nashville HQ


Operations Internship

We are seeking an entry-level Operations Intern to provide support to the operations and human resources team. This position will execute the following responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain the front reception area including greeting guests and answering the phone.

  • Perform general clerical duties.

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to executives.

  • Assist with HR functions, including recruitment and training.

  • Complete other administrative duties needed such as data entry, paperwork, and office supply management.

Qualifications

  • Effective communicator and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Research experience is a plus.

The hours for this position are flexible based on your availability. This is an ideal position for a candidate that is in college. Candidates must be located in Nashville, TN.
